Professional Services
Professional charges including a Funeral Director's supervision throughout arrangements and final disposition, set-up at Funeral Home, residence, hall, church, etc. and direction of funeral service from place of service, including use of funeral home staff.  
Basic Professional Fee $270 (required)
 Professional consultation with licensed personnel, which may include, but is not limited to, professional advice on options to meet yor needs, including essential services relating to disposition, planning & scheduling of services and advising regarding possible government benefits. A basic professional fee is payable whenever we provide services to you.
Co-Ordination of Rites & Ceremonies $540 (required)
 Co-ordination of all rites & ceremonies, during and after they have been provided, including services and supplies provided by us, as well as those provided by third party suppliers, such as death notices and clergy.
Documentation $150 (required)
 Completion and filing of all documents necessary to carry out the services & supplies as requested, including, but not limited to death registration, burial permit, coroner's certificate for cremation, etc. You will also receive an unlimited supply of death certificates.
Transfer from Place of Death (3 x $100) $300 (required)  Quantity 
 Transfer from place of death (hospital, private residence, retirement residence, nursing home, etc.) to Funeral Home, from Funeral Home to Crematorium and from Crematorium back to Funeral Home. This is based on a one attendant transfer (hospital). For transfers requiring 2 attendants (residences, nursing homes, etc.) an additional attendant of $100 will be required.
Embalming $200
 Embalming is a process of sanitation, restoration and temporary preservation of remains. Embalming is not legally required but is mandatory if there is to be an open casket present at the visitation.
Staff Services for Visitation (based on two visitation periods) $300  Quantity 
 Staff to coordinate and oversee two visitation periods at our premises for a period of up to 2 hours. If the visitation takes place off-site, a fee of $300. will be charged at a flat rate. Please enter in the quantity for the amount of visitation period you would like to have.
Staff Services for Ceremony $500
 Staff to coordinate and oversee the ceremony (funeral service, memorial service, celebration of life, etc.) at the Funeral Home. If the ceremony is off site, the staff professional fee will be $725.
Staff Services for Reception $200
 Staff to coordinate and oversee the reception, including set-up, hostess, clean-up, etc.

Facilities
Use of the facilities at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home.  This includes the chapel for service, visitation rooms (if desired), and  the use of all public areas of the funeral home and the facilities for the storage of remains until final disposition takes place.  
Facilities - Basic $100 (required)
 Use of our general and common areas, parking lot, public washrooms, cloak room, heating, lighting and maintenance.
Facilities - Preparation / Sheltering of Remains $200 (required)  Quantity 
 Facilities to prepare, embalm and/or shelter the remains. This charge applies whenever the deceased is in our care in our facility for any purpose.
Facilities - Visitaiton (based on two visitation periods) $400 (required)  Quantity 
 Designated facilities used for two visitation periods for a maximum of 2 hours. Please enter in the quantity for the amount of visitation periods you would like to have.
Facilities - Ceremony $375 (required)
 Designated facilities at our funeral Home for the ceremony.
Facilities - Reception $200
 Use of facilities for a reception following the ceremony.

Stationery Package
Our Stationery Packages include a personalized guest book, thank-you / acknowledgment cards, either 4-sided personalized colour memorial folders or personalized prayer cards, a personalized multi-media slide show and a presentation case.  
Stationery Package #1 - Basic $250
 The Basic Stationery Package includes a guest book, 75 memorial folders or 100 prayer cards, thank-you cards, a customized multi-media tribute and a presentation case.
Stationery Package #2 - Deluxe $360
 The Deluxe Stationery Package includes a guest book, 100 memorial folders or 200 prayer cards, a memorial portrait 8.5 x 11, a memorial candle, thank-you cards, a presentation case and a personalized multi-media tribute which can be played at the visitation, ceremony and reception.

Vehicles
Use of Funeral Home vehicles to carry out funeral arrangements and final disposition.  This includes transfer vehicle from place of death, transfer vehicle to crematorium, administration vehicle and service vehicle for (if desired) retrieval of cremated remains.  Vehicle charges are based on p to 25 km, after 25 km, additional mileage will be charged at a rate of $1 per km.  
Service / Transfer Vehicle - for Transfer from Place of Death $55 (required)
 Service / Transfer Vehicle for transfer of deceased from Place of Death (private residence, nursing home, retirement residence, hospital, hospice, etc.) to Funeral Home.
Service / Transfer Vehicle -Fuenral Coach $400 (required)
 Funeral coach for transfer of deceased (in cremation casket) from Funeral Home to Crematorium.
Service / Transfer Vehicle for Retrieval of Cremated Remains $55 (required)
 Service / Transfer Vehicle for retrieval of cremated remains from crematorium. Note: this is optional families have the option of retrieving the cremated remains themselves.
Administrative Vehicle $75 (required)
 Administrative Vehicle for local procurement of documents (permits, crematorium documentation, transportation of clergy if required, etc.) in order for arrangements to take place.

Cash Disbursements
Cash disbursements are mandatory costs which are paid out by the funeral home - at cost, n the family's behalf.  Examples of cash disbursements are registration and coroer's fees, crematorium and cemetery fees, newspaper notices, clergy or celebrant honorariums, catering and reception hall fees.  
Registration Fee (mandatory) $30 (required)
 Registration of the passing under the Vital Statistics Act with the Province of Ontario. This registers the death with the government and enables the Funeral Home to obtain the necessary permits to carry out cremation.
Coroner's Fee $75 (required)
 In the Province of Ontario, a Coroner must issue a Coroner's Cremation Certificate for every cremation that takes place in the Province.
Cremation Fee $464.60 (required)
 This is the cost for the act of cremation itself. The Funeral Home will pay this cost the family's behalf to Innisvale Crematorium or the crematorium of your choice (prices for the later may vary depending on their price list).
Death Notice in Newmarket Era / Aurora Banner $150
 Obituaries / death notices may be placed in any newspaper the family desires. This cost is an estimate and is based on an average 30 line notice. Depending on the the length of the notice, and if a picture is desires, the newspaper will provide at exact cost at-need.
Clergy or Celebrant Honorarium (required) $300
 This is an honorarium paid to either a clergy person or a celebrant for their services at the ceremony.

Cremation Casket
A Cremation Casket must be selected.  Although any casket (other than metal) can be used for cremation (see our Merchandise section for more options), this section showcases Cremation Rental Caskets which provide an environmentally friendly and economic casket option for those who desire cremation for their loved one.  Please note that the cost for a rental casket includes both the purchase on the cremation casket insert and the rental fee for the shell.  
Durham Rental Casket $995
 Northern Casket (504D) - Poplar veneer construction, adult, white taffeta interior. The cremation casket is constructed of alternative fibreboard.
The Homstead Rental Casket $1,250
 Northern Casket (707) - The Homestead - Solid Maple construction with a rosetan crepe interior, solid wood handles with brass hardware. The cremation casket is constructed of solid aspen.
The Niagara Rental Casket $1,550
 Northern Casket (705) - Solid oak construction, adult size, rosetan crepe interior. The cremation casket is constructed of solid aspen.

Urns
A cremation urn can be selected for housing the cremated remains following cremation.  This urn can be present during the memorial service.  Normally cremated remains in an urn can be interred in the following ways:
-interment in a cemetery (earth burial)
-interment in a columbarium in a cemetery
-scattered in a designated location
-kept with the family
