Obituary for Helene Marie Yvonne Guerin (Lemieux)

GUERIN, Helene Marie Yvonne – Passed away peacefully at Newmarket Health Centre on November 27, 2016 in her 89th year. Loving wife of John Derice Guerin. Beloved mother of Louise, Anne, Philippe and Michelle. Loving mother in law to Craig, Mark and Rita. Proud grandmother of Nicole, Jacob, Paul, Christopher, Kyle, David, Laura and John. Great grandmother of Bladen and Chesley. Sister of the late Paul, Claire, Jeanette, Lucille, Roland, Gilberte, Jean-Jacques and Gerald. Raised by Mari-Blanche, (Ma Tante, "Mimi"). Daughter of the late Rene and Beatrice Lemieux.

Helene graduated as a RN in 1949 and worked at York County Hospital, finishing her career at Green Acres. Retiring in 1988, she sewed, knitted, crocheted and gardened. Her pies rivalled anyone’s!

The family would like to thank the staff of Newmarket Health Centre for all their care.

Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow.
