Passed away in Barrie on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 74 years of age. Loving husband of Patriciaann (nee Smith). Beloved father of Richard (Bev), Katherine and Sandra (John Vangent). Proud grandfather of Bailey, Riley and Colton. Brother of the Luiza, Ralf and the late Andrew. Dear son of the late Marion and Henrietta Witkowski. Wally pursued his education in drafting and began his career, advancing to Manager of the drafting department at several companies. Wally was an avid sports enthusiast and dedicated himself to organizing and running several local sports organizations throughout the GTA. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of Roberta Place – long term care facility in Barrie, ON. Visitation will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Thursday, March 23 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 24 at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Innisvale Cemetery, 7551 Fifth Side Rd., Innisfil, ON L9S 3S1. A reception for guests following the burial will be at Churchill Community Center - 6322 Yonge St, Churchill, ON L0L 1K0.
