December 23, 1931-June 9, 2017
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Bradford Valley Care Community at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Davidson) for 56 years. Loving father of Elizabeth and Geoff. Dear brother of Josie Wallace (late Michael). Predeceased by his brother Ivan Dill (Mary). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Louis was a proud Lions member for 40 years, serving in both the Sault Ste. Marie and Newmarket Clubs. There will be a Lions-Lioness Service at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 7 p.m. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 12 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of York Region - Aurora Day Centre, 240 Edward Street Unit 2, Aurora ON L4G 3S9. Our family is very grateful to the staff at Bradford Valley, Cottage House, for their exceptional care and support. Very special thanks to our wonderful friends Laadi and Rachel.
