Laura Christine Charpentier passed away peacefully at the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Barrie, Ontario in her 40th year, in the presence of family and friends. Laura is survived by her parents Fred Charpentier and Jody McGuinness, her brother Robert Joseph Martin, her aunts Wendy McGuinness, Tina Irvine, Elvie Hall, uncles Doug Charpentier and Michael McGuinness, her many cousins, her boyfriend Paul McCarthy, her treasured friend Judy Michel, and many other friends and loved ones. Laura graduated from Madonna University in 2002 with a degree in Social Services and ASL. Laura’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf for all their care and support. Friends may call for visitation at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street S, Newmarket, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., followed by cremation In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Resident Council at Bob Rumball Home For The Deaf, 1 Royal Parkside Dr, Barrie, ON L4N 0T4,  (705) 719-6700.
