The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gordon Mitchell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Remembering Gord and keeping all of you..the Mitchell family..close in heart and in my prayers. It is God's promise to relieve pain and suffering as He takes our loved ones to their eternal home.To this freedom, we entrust Gord. ..the everso musically talented teacher and performer and fine family guy that he was. Friend in the late '60's and early '70's, with a group in Wasaga Beach, we learned about Gord's creative gifts and care of nature's beauty. He played his accordian at my wedding in 1971 and he and, you, Jan, performed together...grand piano and clarinette...at John and Kristin's wedding in 2005.What a gift 🎶Thank-you.. With friend, Wendy (Fudge) Zettel, we recall Gord's ear for Cat Stevens' music. Now, this morning 🎶"Morning Has Broken" resonates..Rest well, friend. May the warmth of good memories, in time, replace the ache and grief that your dear family feels..They are your living legacy..
