The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edith Dunn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

There are kind and gentle people in this world whom we wish to be part of our children's lives. Edith was one of these beautiful people. Our weekly lessons at her home also brought us in contact with her wonderful family, Ed, Jamie, Stephen, Katie and Andrew. She taught our daughters, Jillian and Jennifer, to enjoy and play beautiful music on the violin, that led them to teaching, orchestral performance and music therapy. They learned to play the Suzuki repertoire with others at a very young age in small group sessions and large group gatherings. We travelled together with her to the University of Wisconsin many years ago where they met Dr. Suzuki and performed with 1000 children at once. She made music a big part of our lives and the girls continue to engage with others and especially the sick and elderly, through music, to this day. We visited Edith a couple of weeks ago and Jen played a few of these pieces for her that she taught her as a child beginning at the age of 4. Edith came to life with those beautiful memories they had shared together. We are sad to think that we will no longer be able to share these moments with her, but she will always be a deep and enduring part of our lives.
