Parker, Colin Charles - It is with deep sorrow we announce that Colin passed away on September 10, 2017, peacefully at home in Newmarket with his loving and devoted wife, Tracey, by his side. Dear son of the late Charles Parker (1971) and Jean Ross (2010), step-father George Ross (2008). Brother to Carol Runnings (Bob), uncle to Tyler and Courtney (Thomas); step-brother to Geoffrey Ross (Darlene and family); brother in law to Theresa and Richard Entwistle, uncle to Kathleen, James, Graham (Kayla) and Bill; brother in law to Janice Meighan and Ken Ramsay, uncle to Jenny, James (Carly). Colin will be sadly missed by many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. Many thanks to the friends and family who gathered around Colin or sent cards or notes of support. Colin was an avid sports fan, in particular soccer, baseball, hockey, basketball and football. He loved reading his newspapers, magazines and books. Enjoyed discussing politics and current events with anyone who'd engage him. Long time employee with the City of Toronto in Communications. Extra special thanks to caregiver Marisa Mascarin, nephrologist Dr. Esther Szaky, nurses Jan, Margaret & Megan at Mackenzie Health; St. Elizabeth nurses, particularly Matt & Leah. Your excellent care and kindness will never be forgotten. Family and friends may visit at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Sunday, September 17 from Noon to 2 pm. Memorial service in the chapel at 2 pm. Reception to follow. If desired, in Colin's memory, donations to your local animal shelter, or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
