HESMONDHALGH, David Edward –
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Sunday September 17, 2017 in his 80th year. Loving friend and wife of Ruth Hesmondhalgh (nee Enever). Beloved father of Tracy (Michael Dorrian) and Shane (Lorraine). Truly proud grandfather of Montana, Sean, Kian, Liam and Kiera. David was born in Blackpool, England. He came to Canada as an Electrician in 1958 and quickly called Canada Home! He worked for many decades at Smith Bros., later Wajax, traveling throughout the world. He finished his career at Brouwer as their Quality Control Manager. David was proudest of his 5 grandchildren and his dog Alfy, who he adored. David was very involved volunteering at 280 Davis Drive and called many dear his friends including Dan and Jackie Hill and Shelley Holden. The family would like to thank Donna at St. Elizabeth for her care and wit during David’s battle with Leukemia. Friends may call on Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Thursday September 21 from 7-9pm for a Celebration of Life. If desired memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. On-line condolences at www.roadhouseandrose.com
