Obituary for Joyce Evelyn Mouland (Piercey)

Joyce Evelyn Mouland (Piercey)
On Sunday October 1st, 2017 surrounded by her family, Joyce Evelyn Mouland, with a beautiful smile on her face, took her final breaths on earth and stepped into the arms of her savior. For two years, Joyce fought cancer with fierce determination and strength.

Joyce was born on May 31st, 1950 in Monkstown Newfoundland to the late George and Rita Piercey. She was the cherished sister of Ray (Joan), Cyril (Jean), Lloyd (Connie), Viola and has been reunited with her brother Harold and sister Shirley.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving daughters Susan (Dwayne) and Shauna (Dave) and her two grandsons Thomas and Aaron whom she adored. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In 1996, Joyce married Spencer and lovingly accepted his family as her own. She became much more than a step-mom to Sherry (John) and Terry (Cheryl). She also became a cherished Nana to Ashley (Darren), Kayla (Daniel), Abigail and Cameron.

Joyce proudly wore the title of “G.G” when her precious great-granddaughter Madison arrived.
Joyce had an infectious smile and the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere at anytime. You never needed to worry about a room being too quiet when Joyce was around. She loved family get-togethers, parties and celebrations. If you met her once, you were a friend forever. So many people were touched by Joyce’s generosity, warmth and loving spirit.
