Condolence: To Susan and family. I was delighted to see your mom during her visit to NL this year. We talked about those 'Summer School' days and how quickly life passes us by. I left that visit amazed at your mom's faith and courage. As you face the reality of your mom's absence, find comfort in the knowledge that others care. I regret that distance prevents me from sharing this day with you!

Condolence: Lieutenants Susan and Dwayne, Thomas and Aaron, Reconnecting with your mom 40 plus years later was a visit we will always cherish. Hours of reminiscing about how our paths crossed created a day filled with lots of fun and laughter. Reflection turned into present day reality when she shared briefly about her ill health but seemed neither consumed by it nor fearful of it...simply grateful and amazed about how God was using and blessing her. We share your heartaches and send our love and prayer support. Always remember that she was extremely proud of you and your appointment to NWIW corps not only made our visit possible but her expressions of pride audible! But, she gave Him the praise! I will always remember our visit last fall while I was in Toronto , we done a lot of catching up and a lot of laughs . Joyce spoke openly about her sickness and assured me that she was ready for whatever God plans were for her . Joyce had her life placed completely in God's hands . I lift her that day feeling so Blessed to have spent time with her and very Proud to have known her and call her my friend .. To the Family : Hold on to the memories and the assurance of seeing her again .

Condolence: Susan, Shauna, Spencer and families - Our hearts are joined with you as we remember with fondness our good friend Joyce. Please accept our sincere condolences. This happy, flamboyant, friendly awesome woman was dear to us in every way and we mourn her passing today but we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that she had gone to a better place - her eternal rest. We know that time is a healer and soon your sorrow will turn into the precious memories that you have made over the years. Spencer, we remember those times that we would call and you and Joyce would meet us at the Tim's on the 401 for coffee. All of our visits when we would be crossing Canada during our trucking years and more especially hurrying to get to your place so we could join you in going to the Salvation Army or a John Starns concert. She is forever in our heart and we will continue to remember you and the family in our prayers.
