She was so full of life and had such a sparkle every time I saw her with Kit at the psychic fairs where I first met them both and continued to see them over ten or more years. Condolence From: Cheryl Stoltz
Condolence: My family came up with one word to describe Beth, and that word was “goodness”. Working together with her with students who had special challenges, I don’t ever remember her seeing anything but the good side of a child. She has a special aura about her that just radiated, and I don’t know anyone who didn’t feel it. Both of my children loved having her as a teacher and they carry with them her teachings. Derek, Emma and Isabelle, you should know that her words and kindness will be carried on through them and other students. Beth loved all of her family very much, and our hearts go out to all of you. Gretchen and Dick although a parent’s grief may ease but never end you have so much to be proud of in Beth’s life. And you have made me and all who know you proud, too, because we can see so much of you both in Beth’s character, sense of humor, and the many miracles she achieved throughout her life. Kate, Kit and Erin your sister’s loss will remain with you for you whole life — just like she was supposed to. I know from experience that siblings have the disadvantage that there is less social recognition of the loss as an important one, but it is. You will work through your grief in your own time, and Beth will be with you in your heart to support you as you do that, when other forget to. Her death may never make any sense, but please remember that you had a unique relationship with Beth, as she did with you, and her influence on you made you who you are as much as your influence on her. You are all in our prayers.

Condolence From: Melanie
Condolence: It has been many years since I have seen Beth and while the news of her passing was crushing to hear, it also flooded me with memories that warmed my heart. Beth and her sisters, Kit and Erin, were simply "the triplets" to so many people, but I had the pleasure of becoming friends with them during a time when they were discovering how special each of them were on their own. The same strength and magic they had as a set of triplets could also be split up and sent in three different directions to have an even greater impact on the people around them. In hearing about the things Beth had taken on over the years, I see that the special strength and magic carried on impacting those around her. I have never had the chance to meet her children but I was there when she first met Derek and it makes me happy to see how much she loved being a wife and a mom. Derek, you and your girls are in my thoughts. Mr. and Mrs. Dewhirst, Kate, Erin, and Kit... I don't pretend to know how you feel but I want you to know I am thinking about all of you. I know that you will take care of each other as you go through this heartbreaking time. With much love and heartfelt condolences, Melanie Rood

Condolence: Beth was an integral part of the Huron family and it was my good fortune to work with her. She was a compassionate teacher who cared deeply about her students' well being. She was a wonderful role model. Her strength and positive attitude were an inspiration to both staff and students. Beth was a team player and whenever I spoke to her about someone in need, she would never hesitate to provide that "little extra" touch to support. Thank you Beth for making a difference. You will be greatly missed but always remembered for your gentleness and kind giving heart. To her family please accept my sincerest condolences. Anne Irvine

Condolence: Beth was the current drama teacher of our twin daughters and taught our son in the drama program the last two years. Beth made a safe place for our children to discover themselves and gently called them out of their comfort zones to grow. What more could you ask for in a teacher? Our children adored her. Thank you, Beth, for giving all the loveliness you had to your work and your relationships. You made the world a better place. I have no doubt that you have planted a seed in our children to carry on your good work. Thank you Huron for welcoming such wonderful teachers into the school community.

Condolence: Our family is deeply saddened by the news of Beth's passing. Her relationship with our family started, and continued to grow through our connection at Trinity Anglican Church in Bradford. Her ready smile and generous spirit was always felt each time we saw her. Her special connection to our son Stuart as one of his godmothers, continued to be something she cherished, even more so, when she could say a quick "hello" to him in the halls of Huron. We feel a hole that she has left behind, and send all our thoughts, love, and prayers to her family at this very difficult time. Karen, Paul, Liam, and Stuart Dance

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Ferkranus and family, Thank you so much for teaching my children. Teaching is relationships and you were great at that! Gracie & Hannah thought the world of you. Your passing is weighing heavy. I hope your family will find comfort in this passage written by a former Newmarket student from Pickering College almost 100 years ago. You are all in our thoughts. "Night falls on all, yet our high thoughts, our holy devotions, and our steadfast loves shall live from age to age, from eternity to eternity. They shall not die, though all else sink into decay and oblivion. For they are woven of an immortal texture that the breath of forgetfulness may never mar." ~Bayne Cummer 1927.

She was a constant inspiration to all that she came across and brought the best out of all that interacted with her. Condolence From: Jennifer Romero
Condolence: While vacationing in Panama with my family, I was shocked and absolutely devastated to hear my dear friend Beth, who I began teaching with, passed away. Memories of our monthly family dinners before kids, of our pregnancies and comparing stretch marks😂, of our walks at lunch ... Most of all I remember talking to her on the phone after her first go with radiation - Beth the Fighter and her words still resonate: “God only gives you what you can handle.” After kids and changing departments, we saw one another less and less; it was those occasional meeting in the hallways of Huron that became treasured as I got to see Beth’s warm smile and her full-of-love-hugs❤️ We spoke of family and adventures and future plans and all the craziness of the day would disappear in our less those 5-minute chats. I will miss my dear friend who taught me to cherish family and friendships that much more and although nothing lasts forever, the light we share with others in a smile, in a hug, in kindness - can forever change a person. Heaven becomes that much more heavenly as we lose an Angel here on earth. I know Beth will always look over her family as she treasured them the most😇 ‘Til we meet again my friend⭐️ I shall miss your smile With Love and fond memories, Jennifer, Steve, Mikayla and Maisyn
