The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edwin Ramsay can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

My Boss

I worked for Bruce et al at SKF in the mid seventies.  He was my favourite.  Bruce was so down to earth and practical.  I felt sorry for anyone who didn't know him.

He used to tell me stories about birthing a breach goat before arriving for work in the morning.  He loved that his daughter Jane was able to experience many of nature's ways on the farm.  Bruce (Mr. Ramsay) loved this for her.

One day he was standing in the doorway of his office rocking back and forth from toe to heel, as he was given to do.  I looked up from my desk (which was right outside his office door) and said, "You need a new suit."

"Why?", he asked.

"Because your pockets are frayed", I answered. End of conversation.

That was on a Monday.  On Thursday morning he called to tell me that he would be late arriving for work.  I asked where he was.  He replied that he was downtown Toronto getting measered for a new suit.

Enough said.

That was Bruce.

I have thought about him many times over the years.  I feel and hope he enjoyed a long and serene life.

Pax vobiscum Mr. Ramsay.

Forever in My Heart.
